EU Ecolabel

The EU Ecolabel is the official ecolabel in the EU. The label makes it easy to choose from amongst the most environmentally friendly products available.

The entire life cycle of the product, from raw material to production, use, disposal and recycling, is included in the assessment, when drawing up the requirements for an ecolabelled product.

To ensure compliance with the EU Ecolabel’s tough requirements, EU Ecolabelled products are checked and certified through documentation and inspections.

EU Ecolabel

  • The official ecolabel in the EU
  • Strict environmental requirements – in all relevant phases of the product’s life cycle
  • Strict chemical requirements  - for the environment and your health
  • Tightening of requirements – to create sustainable development
  • Certification and control – so you can be safe

EU Ecolabelled upholstery fabrics meet strict requirements regarding:

  • Pesticide residues in the raw material
  • Use and emission of hazardous chemicals in production processes
  • The quantity of hazardous substances and heavy metals in the finished product
