Gabriel’s collection of sustainable fabrics has moved up a class and is now certified in accordance with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® product class II.

With the largest collection of eco-friendly upholstery fabrics on the market, Gabriel leads the way in sustainability. As consumption trends go greener, and the demand for transparency rises, our sustainability journey continues - and we want to stay ahead.

We are moving up!
Consequently, we have recently upgraded our STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® programme. This means that our large collection of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified upholstery fabrics has moved up a class and is now certified in accordance with the requirements and standards of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® product class II.

Safe for direct skin contact
The upgrade to product class II is your guarantee that Gabriel fabrics are safe for prolonged and direct skin contact. This means that Gabriel fabrics are not only highly suitable for all types of furniture but also for for example bedding products. With only a few exceptions, the upgrade covers all Gabriel fabrics.

Tested for 300 chemicals
The OEKO-TEX® standards and test criteria are updated annually and reflect the latest advances in fabric chemistry, up-to-date medical knowledge, and the most current fabric product safety regulations. During the certification upgrade process, our fabrics have been thoroughly tested for more than 300 substances, including for example formaldehyde, and pH values.

Our fabrics are exactly the same
Despite the stringent tests, it has not been necessary to make any changes to the composition of our fabrics. Our fabrics already met the strict requirements of product class II  - and with the new OEKO-TEX® certification, we are able to document it.
