“Omega™ Outdoor” is a 3D fabric specifically developed by Gabriel for Expormim. This highly functional mesh will dress most of the outdoor collections, such as the Twins and Senso armchairs or the Plump sofa.

3D mesh is a polyester fabric widely used in sports shoes because of its resistance and also because it allows for optimal heat and moisture regulation. Besides these qualities it provides a soft adjustment and greater comfort to the user.   

Omega upholstery fabric keeps all these properties and adds some more, thus becoming a most suitable lining for outdoor use and particularly for environments with special cleaning requirements due to its flame retardant performance, its high resistance to UV radiation and tested durability of 100.000 Martindale rubs.

Though mainly used as a load-bearing textile to provide further strength and stability to backrests and partitions, its modern design turns it into an extremely attractive skin for outdoor upholstery thanks to the colour effects generated by its three-dimensional structure.

Omega’s colour palette is inspired by the Bauhaus and Mondrian, with a scheme based upon black and the powerful primary colours. While the reverse is always black, the top layer offers a wider range of tonalities from the more classic and serene, such as black or taupe, to the most graphic and bright, like paprika or turquoise. This helps create a delicate chromatic contrast as well as suggestive optical illusions.
