Italian maker Tonon has included Tom Dixon and Gabriel's Link pattern in its standard collection. When Gabriel presented its new Link designer pattern at the Orgatec Fair in October 2006, Signora Tonon was immediately entranced by this jacquard weave woollen fabric. “I love the way the lines in the pattern slide into each other. It’s not just a currently fashionable contemporary pattern. It's a fascinating pattern with a much longer life in it,” Helga Lechermann Tonon tells us, while confirming that the quality and design of a fabric are of enormous importance for upholstered furniture. At a meeting between Tonon, Gabriel and British designer of the pattern, Tom Dixon, it was decided that Link should be manufactured in a special black and white version for Tonon. Feedback to Tonon was positive from both agents and customers on the international IMM furniture fair in Cologne in 2007. From now on they will be able to choose Link as a standard fabric for the wide range of Italian designer chairs.
