2009: Gabriel Business Park becomes a reality – the first phase in the development of the group’s complex is completed.

2009: Gabriel achieved a proud second place in Innovation Cup only surpassed by Lego.

2009: Gabriel moves dye factory to Scandye UAB in Lithuania.

2008: A record revenue of DKK 280 million. 87% of production exported.

2007: Record profit. 85% of production exported.

2007: Winner of Innovation Cup 2007.

2006: Gabriel ISO-certified in China.

2006: Gabriel placed 5th in Denmark's Innovation Cup 2006.

2005: Record year, with growth on all markets. 82% of products exported.

2005: Gabriel A/S takes over the assets of the Finnish upholstery material manufacturer Sellgren Tekstiili OY

2003: Gabriel establishes a representative office in China.

2002: The world's first upholstery material manufacturer to be awarded the EU Eco-label flower.

2001: 150th anniversary

2000: Record results for the 5th year in a row.

1998: Eco-management Audit Scheme (EMAS) certification.

1997: Businessmen purchase a controlling interest.

1996: Certification under ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

1996: More than 50% of goods manufactured are exported.

1992: The Comfort and Gaja furniture textiles are launched at the Orgatec fair in Cologne.

1991: ISO 9001 certification.

1991: Pension funds purchase Gabriel family shares.

1989: 33% of goods manufactured are exported.

1986: Gabriel and Kjærs Mølle merge.

1985: Jørgen Kjær Jacobsen is appointed managing director.

1984: Gabriel goes public.

1983: Gabriel takes over Kjærs Mølle.

1981: Emphasis on woollen upholstery fabric.

1981: Poul H. Lauritsen is elected chairman of the board.

1980: Søren Gabriel is appointed managing director.

1979: Employees and the Gabriel family take over Kjærs Mølle.

Ca. 1968: Woollen upholstery fabric - limited but expert production.

1965: The Savak furniture textile, designed by Tove Kindt Larsen, is launched.

1954-1980: Fashionable fabric for women's clothing. M. Zacho becomes managing director.

1951: 100th anniversary. Crisis due to the Korean war.

1948: Odense Kamgarnsspinderi takes over Kjærs Mølle

1940-45: Poor quality wool or none at all.

1921-1937: Years of crisis.

1918: Growth culminates in a 50% dividend.

1901: 50th anniversary in a period of prosperity.

1855: Fire at the factory.
