Gabriel A/S is is one of Europe's leading suppliers of furniture fabrics.

The company's head office is in Aalborg, Denmark, where we develop textiles to furniture manufacturers throughout the world.

Gabriel achieved a revenue of DKK 242,6 million in the 2010/11 financial year, with 91% of production exported. Number of employees is 64.

There are three major business areas:

• Contract (textiles for business furniture)
• Home (furniture for domestic use) 
• Transport.

Just-in-time

Gabriel A/S is stocking abt. 3000 pcs. of various fabrics. Our customers do not need to hold stock, and via UPS the delivery times have been minimized all over Europe.

A sustainable approach

Gabriel has been working actively on quality optimisation and environmental improvement for almost 20 years. In 1991, Gabriel became the world's first manufacturer of furniture fabric to gain quality certification under ISO 9001. Environmental certification under ISO 14001 followed in 1996, and in 1998 Gabriel was registered under the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). 

In 2002, Gabriel became the first manufacturer of furniture fabric in the world to be awarded the EU Flower.

Oeko-Tex was introduced on the company's main product, Comfort, in 2006 and in 2010 67% of the fabrics are labelled with Oeko-Tex.

In 2010 Gabriel is the first Danish company to gain C2C (Cradle to Cradle) certification.
